    UFSMA and ASFPM HB 98 Response

    The passing of House Bill 98 has caused some concern that as written, could be interpreted to circumvent NFIP minimum standads which could potentially suspend the state from the NFIP and disqualify the state from federal disaster assistance. Due to these issues, the UFSMA Board supports ASFPM's decsion to send a letter requesting Governer Cox to veto the bill. The letter can be downloaded at the following link: ASFPM Letter
